It’s a new season in the world of beauty and I’m so excited about all the new product launches! It might still be cold and wet out there but I am already dreaming of bright make up colours and bronzed skin. It’s the time of the year that I struggle the most with the weather, my whole body is longing for the Spring to come ASAP and all the new releases make me equally excited and impatient! However, I’m also really enjoying some of the new entries in my beauty collection so let me start with my latest favourites…
Clinique Moisture Surge Set
If it’s true that you can use your thoughts to attract things in your life then I think I attracted Clinique back into my skincare routine! I had been thinking about how I would like to repurchase the Take The Day Off™ Cleansing Balm as my eyes have been very sensitive lately and this product is one of the most (if not the most) gentle solutions I have ever tried. I might not have attracted this particular cleansing balm yet, but I did attract the Moisture Surge Set which is just as good! The set was one of my Christmas gifts and came in the cutest pink makeup bag. It includes the Moisture Surge™ Overnight Mask, the All About Eyes eye-cream and the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief day cream. I love how light-weight and refreshing the texture of the day cream and the eye cream is while the night mask’s richer texture feels very nourishing on the skin without being heavy or sticky. Using all products for a few weeks now, has given me nice dewy skin that feels soft and hydrated. All products have a subtle fresh scent and a beautiful soft pink colour-which you know that for me is a winner!
It seems that Santa passed by a Clinique counter on his way to my tree this year as this one was another one of my Christmas gifts! I really like the creamy formula of this cleanser and the fact that it leaves the skin feeling clean and smooth but also hydrated-most face soaps leave my face dry. I have to say though-oh the perpetual struggle!-that my eyes don’t get along with it as much as my face does and sometimes I get stingy sensation in my eyes from it.
Moving on to my current beauty wishlist, I’ve gone and done it again. I fell in love with a lipstick yet again-or should I say with 3? Charlotte Tilbury released 3 new Matte Revolution lipstick shades The Legendary Queen, The Queen and The Dutchess . And here I am trying to decide which one to go for. I love the vibrant, rosy crown-jewel pink shade of the Queen but I can pictured a tanned (yes that’s wishful thinking!) version of myself wearing the Dutchess… Decisions, decisions…
Another product on my wishlist which is not actually out yet is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector® Pressed Highlighter in the shade Parisian Lights. This will be a limited edition product which is inspired by the sparkling lights of the Eiffel Tower at sunset. It might be that I just finished a book about Paris-Lindsey Kelk I’m looking at you!-but this shade makes me think of romantic strolls in Paris in the Spring and I really-really want to make it mine!
Last but not least, I have a hair product on my wish list as my hair is getting longer and longer and its ends drier and drier. I’m talking about the OUAI Leave-in Conditioner (this is actually their Smooth Spray with a new name)which promises to moisturise and offer enhanced heat protection but even more importantly for me detangle and fight frizz. Free of parabens and sodium chloride.
What are you loving from the new beauty season? Let me know what I should add to my list!
