I’m Greek so I have summer in my veins and in my heart… Living in the U.K. might be limiting my beach days to just a couple of weeks of holidays every year but nothing can stop me from getting excited about ALL the bronzers and ALL the highlighters and ALL the mermaid blues and punchy fuchsias out there for my summer beauty kit. And all the latest beauty releases from the upcoming Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection to the M-A-C Hyper Real Glow Collection have already filled me with a giddy feeling of anticipation. Here are my top 2018 summer beauty picks:
The shades of the Viva Cuba collection are as sexy are their names! It’s as if someone has captured pure seduction in the 3 vibrant colours of a matte finish lipstick. Corals like Chicas are staples among my favourite summer lipsticks but I also love how vibrant the Havana shade so it will be a difficult choice (if I really have to make one!). I also really like the slimline design of the lipstick as it great for enhancing precision.
I was passing by a M-A-C counter yesterday and thought I’d just have a brief look of what’s on there and go on my way. The next minute I was captivated by these gorgeous highlighter palettes and had sparkles all over my hands as I tried on all the shades on them! I really loved the buttery finish of these highlighters that gave such a glorious shine while keeping it fresh and natural.
I’m not sure whether I’m more excited about the contents of this palette or its gorgeous packaging! The six eye-shadow shades are perfect for a summery make up look-the swatches that the brilliant Ree of Really Ree has uploaded on her blog post about the collection look beautifully pigmented-and the blush and highlight look very nice too. I can’t wait to have a close look at the full collection and especially the Illuminating Powder Gelee in Heatwave when it launches nationwide towards the end of May.
I am very intrigued to try this product as for me, summer beauty equals a dewy, healthy look! According to the website, this is a ‘lightweight, pearlescent mist designed to prep, prime and set’ and promises to give make up a glowy finish. You can use it before and after makeup to hydrate, illuminate and prime the skin. Contains Hyaluronic Acid and Green Tea Extract. Watch this space for a proper review of the product once I’ve purchased and used it.
Or my latest lipstick obsession. I have to admit that I have never been a huge fan of metallic lipsticks as they looked a bit tacky to me. But this Sleek Makeup lip cream caught my eye so I thought I’d give it a chance. I purchased it in two shades, Metallized Rose and Molten Topaz and I absolutely love it! It looks gorgeous on the lips, feels soft and creamy despite its metallic look, isn’t sticky and quite surprisingly lasts forever! Get my 10/10 for value for price!
