My Favourite Summer No Makeup Makeup Look

Let’s admit it. Summer makes all of us look like the better version of ourselves! Nothing can beat the healthy and radiant look of a tanned skin and it’s one of the many reasons I’m looking forward to it all year long! I know it’s not properly summer in the U.K. yet but the sun has definitely been more generous with us the past few weeks and I can already spot some new freckles on my nose from my walks outdoors. Which means that it’s the best time to switch to my favourite make up look! The summer no makeup makeup!

I love this makeup because it gives such an effortless (or what looks like effortless!) glow like you’re just back from holidays or had the longest most leisurely nap sprinkled with dreams of Alexander Skarsgård…

Here are some of my favourite products to use when I want to achieve my summer no makeup makeup look:

Foundation

Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Face Primer

I love using this primer during the winter under my foundation for an extra touch of glow. When used on its own though, it makes the perfect base for my summer no makeup makeup look. It gives the best dewy look and illuminates my cheekbones like no other product! It is also full of anti-aging goods (BioNymph Peptide Complex which stimulates collagen) which is always a plus. Don’t expect full, heavy coverage though, this is more like a very light coverage beautifying filter.

To cover any imperfections-see persistent dark circles-I use a beauty blender to apply my concealer to the problematic areas. If you are reading the blog you will know that my all time favourite concealer is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer  which never lets me down.  The Glossier Stretch Concealer is putting my loyalty to a test though as I can’t ignore the reviews anymore and my dry under-eye area seems to be craving it!

Blush & Bronzer

I’ve been using the Benefit Hoola Bronzer for what it seems like forever and have been loving it all along. I feel like it’s time for a change though so I have my eyes on the Estee Lauder Illuminating Powder Gelee in Heatwave and the Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust.

Glossier Cloud Paint

A few brands beat Glossier when it comes to a beautiful no makeup makeup look! The Cloud Paint in Puff is always in my bag and my go-to blush when I want to achieve a natural, dewy look. It blends beautifully on the skin and gives a very healthy, natural glow . You know the colour your cheeks take when your secret crush talks to you? That! The Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick in Formentera is a fab option too.  For an extra glow boost, I also apply my Haloscope highlighter in Quartz .

Morphe 15N Night Master Eyeshadow Palette

Brown shades are my favourite all year long when it comes to eye makeup but even more so during the summer. The eye-shadow palette I’m using loads at the minute is the Morphe 15N Night Master Eyeshadow Palette and especially the shades: Selfie (a matte terracotta), Shook (a matte burnt clay) and Editorial (a matte bark brown).

When it comes to mascara, I’m loving the Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara at the moment as it really gives a boost to my eye-lashes without clumping. Only negative is that it takes a little while to fully dry so it can easily smudge when I first apply it.

For my brows, I stick to my NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder as it’s so easy to apply, looks fab and lasts all day!

Lips

lipsticks for summer

Much as a love a bold, red, statement lip for the winter, I’m all about soft nude colours for my summer make up. These are two of my favourite summer lipsticks:

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector in Nude Shimmer

I’m in love with the texture of this product and its amazing sweet scent! It really softens and hydrates the lips and gives them a very pretty nature shine without any stickiness.

Kiko Milano Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick in Beige Rose

This matte lipstick in Beige Rose has the perfect shade for my summer make up. It is long lasting without drying the lips because of its creamy texture.  Great value for money!

Which are your favourite summer makeup products?

Love,

Eleni xx
