Hi everyone!
It feels so weird writing on my blog again after all those months… I had truly missed it but an exciting new job, planning my wedding and other far less joyful circumstances that showed up the last quarter of 2018 meant that I had no energy left to write on my blog on top of everything else that was on my to do list.
Now I’m back though and what’s a better way to start my first blog post for 2019 than a new, exciting beauty launch! A couple of days ago I was invited to attend a bloggers’ event at the Urban Decay counter of Debenhams Metrocentre where we would be introduced to the brand’s new limited edition On-the-Run eye-shadow palettes. Given the brand’s history in creating amazing eye-shadow palettes (I mean who doesn’t love/own a Naked palette?!) I was very excited to see the new additions to their range.
During the event we were introduced to the 3 new mini palettes that all contain a combination of 8 matte and metallic shades including a transformer shade a and come in a super-handy packaging with a good size mirror that makes them perfect for travelling or for fitting them in a handbag to refresh eye make up throughout the day.
Detour contains mostly peachy and bronze-gold neutrals as well as Plunge, a show-stopping teal shade.

Bailout features cocoa neutrals and soft lavender to deep purple shades.

Shortcut-my favourite of the three-offers a combination of blush-tone, cocoa and berry red shades.

This last palette would make an ideal handbag-size alternative for the people that loved the Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette.
Berri-Mae, the fabulous senior artist at Urban Decay Debenhams used Shortcut to create an eye look and she did an amazing job!

I fell in love with shades Randevous and Gash. Whilst she was creating the look we were also introduced to some other Urban Decay hero products some of which I have put in my wish-list: Eden is their legendary eye-shadow primer that smooths, corrects imperfections and helps eye-shadow stay intact for hours whilst intensifying its colour. It’s also amazing that it’s available in 6 shades.
The Finger Brush was another one of the products that Berri used which I loved. With a rounded shape, this small blending brush imitates the finger, but with a flawless finish. It is great for laying down the right amount of product in just the right place. It was interesting to learn that all Urban Decay brushes are recyclable.

Berri completed the look using the All Nighter setting spray.
This popular weightless setting spray is suitable to all skin types and keeps makeup from smudging or melting down with proprietary Temperature Control Technology to keep make up in place all day long. We were gifted a travel size version of the product which I can’t wait to try!

The On-the-Run mini palettes launch on the 15th of January in the U.K. and cost £24.
Special mention should be made to the fabulous-looking and delicious-tasting Rplace donuts that we were treated at the event!
Love,
Eleni xx
